At a glance

Cloud security from CyberAccord means assessing your AWS and Azure environments for misconfigurations, excessive permissions, and missing controls, then helping you fix them and design a secure architecture. It suits organizations that have moved to the cloud quickly, are preparing for SOC 2 or ISO 27001, or want an independent check on their setup.

Why cloud environments need their own assessment

AWS and Azure both work on a shared responsibility model: the provider secures the physical infrastructure, and you are responsible for identities, configurations, data, and the workloads you run. Most cloud incidents come from customer-side misconfigurations, such as public storage, overly broad permissions, or logging that was never turned on.

Moving quickly to the cloud often leaves these gaps behind. An assessment finds them before an attacker or an auditor does.

AWS security assessment

We examine your accounts, permissions, and resources to see how access is really used, interview your team to understand how data flows in and out, and review your security setup against AWS and industry best practices.

Azure security assessment

Our Microsoft-focused engineers review your Azure subscriptions, applications, data, identities, and controls for risky configurations and deviations from the Microsoft cloud security benchmark. We use Microsoft Defender for Cloud findings where available and validate them by hand.

You receive recommendations to reduce risk, improve reliability, and meet the compliance requirements that apply to your Azure environment.

Security architecture review and design

Whether you are planning a new environment or untangling an existing one, we help design account structure, network segmentation, identity, encryption, and logging so security is built in rather than bolted on. We work with your DevOps team so the design supports fast, secure application delivery.

What happens after the assessment?

You can fix findings with your own team using our guidance, have us help with remediation, or move to ongoing coverage through our managed security service, which includes continuous AWS monitoring and incident response.

Process

How it works

  1. 1

    Examine

With read-only access, we review your accounts, permissions, resources, and configurations against recognized benchmarks.

  2. 2

    Interview

We talk with your IT and engineering teams to understand data flows, business requirements, and planned changes.

  3. 3

    Review and report

We validate findings, rate them by risk, and deliver a prioritized remediation roadmap and architecture recommendations.

  4. 4

    Remediate

Your team fixes issues with our guidance, or we help implement changes and verify they are working.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Isn't our cloud provider responsible for security?

Only partly. Under the shared responsibility model, AWS and Microsoft secure the underlying infrastructure, but you are responsible for how you configure identities, networks, storage, and workloads. That customer side is where most cloud security problems occur.

What access do you need?

For an assessment, read-only access is normally enough, granted through a dedicated role you control and can revoke at any time. We do not need write access unless you ask us to help with remediation.

How long does a cloud security assessment take?

Typically two to four weeks for a single cloud platform, depending on the number of accounts or subscriptions and how complex the workloads are. We confirm the timeline during scoping.

Do you assess multi-cloud environments?

Yes. We assess AWS and Azure together when you use both and look closely at the connections and shared identities between them, which are easy to overlook.

Will the assessment help with SOC 2 or ISO 27001?

Yes. We can map findings to the relevant SOC 2 criteria or ISO 27001 controls, so fixing them also closes gaps your auditor would likely raise.
